Hello!
I'll repost my introduction here as this is where I plan
to hang out!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Will start here and then make my way to children's writing!
I've done a lot of magazine writing about pond keeping and
the critters that live in, and around, ponds. Mad Computer
Genius Son (MCGS) decided I needed a blog so you can find a reworked
version of a lot of it here www.blogfromthebog.com
The blog no longer lets me post and will MCGS find time to fix it?
(Maybe I should stop feeding him? btw that is him pictured in the
last entry when he was adorable and ten years old.)
Anyway there are about a year and a half of posts there.
Onward. Decided to go back to school (along with the twins who are also in college... you can't even imagine!) and am almost finished with my masters degree in education.
While I am waiting to student teach (next fall) I decided to write about
something near and dear to my heart - Mad Computer Genius Son.
MCGS is very dyslexic (did not learn to read until age 13) and I am an
expert on being the mother of a dyslexic child! So I wrote a story about
being dyslexic from a child's pov in third grade (the age most children are
tested for learning disabilities). Second agent being queried as I type.
Now I'm off to hang out in children's writing.
If you want to know anything about dyslexia, current education practices or frogs I'm your woman!
