Any one have a favorite?
Script Sharks seems quite professional and I must admit, I think a filter such as this is a wonderful idea. This way producers, agents, etc can get the goods quickly and hopefully categorized saving everyone time.
Thanks...

Script Shark seems to be one of the biggies.
The Scriptbroker (www.thescriptbroker.com) is a smaller company but the service is much more personal. It's not a coverage mill. Devorah Cutler-Rubenstein and her development associates work one-on-one with all the writers.
The evaluation services include a phone consultation once the evaluation is completed.
Instead of posting your coverage or script online like Script Shark - the Script Broker actually gets your script into the hands of targeted agents, managers and producers.
The services cost a little more - but all the writers that I know who have worked with her say that it's worth it.

Actually, getting scripts into the hands of targeted agents/managers and producers is Script Shark's raison d'etre. They don't post recommended scripts online for all to see, the distribution is limited and it's not as if that's the only means they have at their disposal.

Not to detract from Script Broker at all, I just wouldn't differentiate between the two services on this basis. If anything, it may be the other way around. I have no knowledge of Script Broker, however, so I couldn't say.

BRough
Thanks for correcting me. My knowledge of script shark is similar to your knowledge of the scriptbroker - little to none.
I've seen them tout their database - so assumed (incorrectly) that that was all they do.
My knowledge of the scriptbroker on the other hand is personal. Devorah Cutler-Rubenstein's probaby the best producer I've ever worked with and she has an incredible story sense. She pulled back on producing to start this company a few years ago - from what I understand she's helped screenwriters, playwrights and novelists not only improve their work, but also get representation and/or deals.

What is this "BRough" moniker you are so fond of whimpering at the beginning of your replies intended to imply? I'm far from certain when I was 'being rough' with you, Simon. For someone who apparently has such a thick skin, you appear to be taking an inordinate amount of time to get over it.

BRC -
I often shorten monikers in my replies. Not a skin issue in this case - just a habit.
