Hi guys!
I'm about 12,000 words into my thriller/adventure (I posted the first chapter in the SYW thread so that you can take a peek at my style).
I always make my husband read parts that aren't coming easily to me... and I'm now facing a few plot ideas and I'm having a hard time making the choice. This is my first serious novel venture and I'd really like someone to bounce ideas with... my questions would probably be something like: "So, following this chapter what chapter should follow... I have a, b, and c."
I am weak on grammar, and while I would appreciate assistance with that... it's not my main focus right now. I want to make sure my entry into the "middle" of my novel is solid and fluid. And, I really think my husband is getting annoyed by my constant questions
He just isn't fascinated by writing like I am... and he totally didn't find the Barbara B podcast funny!
I would be happy to return the favor and have a real buddy system going. My favorite genres to read are fantasy, thriller/adventure, historical romance (but not time traveling, I don't like that), and some paranormal romance. I'm not a big fan of "chick lit".
Well, if anyone would be interested, let me know. Let's chat a little bit by pm or email, get to know each other and see if we think we'd work well together. I don't want to just willy nilly jump in. I want it to be productive and effective, for both of us!
Cheers!
