I found this article (http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/artsentertainment/2003323250_poetbus26.html) on Haskins' new site (http://authorscoop.com/) and thought it was completely great. I wish the poetry bus had stopped here. Did any of you see it? Hear the poets?

<sorry, cut and paste difficulties - but do look at the article, it's fun!>

I think it missed us. :-(

However, if it drove through some would-be publisher's cities, I wouldn't feel so bad.

How much fun would that be?

And now I've got "That's It for the Other One" in my head.

*sigh*

They came thru my area. There was an article in the paper.

Frankly, the idea of riding across the country with a bus full of poets sounds rather unpleasant. If I got to choose traveling companions, I'd pick the Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders, a bunch of BBQ chefs, a string quartet, circus performers, a magician, I dunno. I'd get creative.

There's a few poets here I could handle traveling with, at least across town :D

But it is a neat idea for promoting poetry.

It actually sounds like a neat idea. I wouldn't mind sharing time with some other poets irl. I wish we had more things like that in Sweden.

I'm so on the bus. But on second thought, I think I'd much rather be on Ken Kesey's bus?

I can't get to the article from here in the Middle East, but I would guess that being on a bus full of poets would have me packing enough Phillips-head screwdrivers to shove through the centers of their foreheads and deep into their skulls by about Day 3. Just a guess, though.
