Thanks, guys 'n' gals. ... and any aliens or elves lurking about.
I'll do my best to make a complete fool of myself for your benefit and entertainment.
I may even look in on the forum, now and then, when I don't have my head buried in my novel. Who knows? I might even crib ideas offa you guys now and then.

Kida:
Behave?
I suppose not, as long as you keep your misbehaviours confined to huts, caves or castles.

Haven't you heard about this?
I'd vote for a hamster if I thought it would keep APW out of office: Pthom is my hamster (http://www.cafepress.com/kerryhamster.10769687?zoom=yes#zoom)

Don't blame me for getting this job.
Jenna asked.
I said, "Okay, I'll do it."

Way to deflect the wrath, Pthom.
APW, he was just beggggging and begggging and I couldn't get him off my leg and I tried to tell him, "No! APW wants the job!" but he threatened to steal my Pringles.
See? What could I have done? It's all Pthom's fault.

I wasn't planning on giving him the usual treatment I give some one who mis quotes LOTR (namely cause I don't know where he is and the internet dosn't deal well with delivering the products of a flame thrower), It was just really really wierd.:shrug

Now, now, Ally. Calm down. He only meant it in fun, and you know I've banned flamethrowers from the house.
(Was tired of patching up her brothers... :b )

Surviving the storm :) Actually surviving several. Who'd have figured I'd move to FL and they'd have the worst hurricane season for years.
</shrug>
Otherwise, adapting to family life - got married, got kids lol. Now all I have to do is get some time!
What've you been doing?
Pthom
09-21-2004, 01:07 PM
Congrats on the wife and kids. :clap
I will refrain from comments on the move to Florida. :ssh
Besides lurking here--and getting this job moderating this forum because of it--I've been ... writing. One chapter away from finishing a novel.
:party
Then, after sending it off so that I can begin amassing a weighty collection of rejections, I plan to practice procrastination for a few days before working on the next story. :D

Hi Nick.
Maybe eventually all the ex-ww-ers will wend their way over here.

:-D
Time will tell on the gradual migration of ww'ers to aw. Long time no hear, Eraser!
Way to go on the near-completion Pthom! I envy your discipline for having gotten it to this point! Good luck on builiding your portfolio of rejections :) I'm sure that you *will* find a publisher to put your work to print.
Brain's fried, here.
On writing, my wife's encouraged me to continue working on the "Gone Fishing" group of storylings - to try to make a coherent work of them that stands as a novel. I've had a few ideas, a few twists to throw in. My biggest issues at this point are 1) time, 2) organization and 3) stick-to-it-iveness. The hardest for me will be the third, as to this point most of what I wrote was done for pleasure but I'm sure I can do it. Well... if the 'canes leave us along long enough to drop the stress level. :)
