More than 6 months

I just need opinions here, thanks.

I sent my manuscript to a publisher almost 8 months ago.

They listed their response time as 6 months. I wanted to give them some leeway before sending a query.

Have I given them enough time before asking about the status of my manuscript, or should I wait a little longer?

I believe so, since they've gone 2 months after their listed response time. However, you may want to wait for some more experienced member's input.
