I got a request for a full in response to an equery. Must I send in a synopsis with the full, or would it be OK just to send a cover letter and copy of the equery/response with the MS?

The agency website doesn't specify guidelines and the agent didn't, either.

Thanks!

If they didn't say to do so, don't send them a copy of the e-query either. Just mention it in your cover letter--which you want to keep short, by the way. Remember, anything you say can be used against you.

I disagree with Julie. I always sent a copy of my original query with my fulls along with a very short cover letter. Agents have commented that many times they don't set aside a query letter and once I got a request for a full via email and a week later my original SASE came back with a rejection. It was a mistake of course but it shows that papers can get lost. Make sure your cover letter / query has all your current contact information.
Ultimately the agent I signed with did everything by email which was vastly more convenient.
Hope this helps

Also - except for the short query description - my agent never wanted a synopsis- she doesn't read them. If the first few pages don't get her hooked it doesn't matter how good the synopsis sounds.
