I am currently reading a book I (so far) consider to be a women's fiction piece, and it's written by a man.

As women writers and writers of women's fiction, how do you feel about this? Can men do justice to a female protagonist, especially if that protagonist is doing more than telling a story, but calling for social change?

Yes, definitely. I guess the last example I read would be Tale of the Shape-Shifter which is about a young women coming to terms with her past, abusive parents etc.
