Wow, what an uproar. But, dealing with the topic of religion, I guess I expected nothing less.

If you want to close this, go ahead. I just want to say thanks to everybody who posted. Even the "anti-my people" posters. Little joke...

All of the commotion on this thread has helped me to convince one of our 3 producers to attempt to convince the third to try to play this doc in local theaters after we finish it. Try to make back some of the money going into it. But, it's a work of passion, so whatever.

To address a few other questions:

I've never heard of a Lakewood. Although, there was a Camp Lakewood in the kids show Arther (I watch a lot of PBS).

We're already using a lot of the topics that were posted, such as fear of death/afterlife. As an Atheist, I don't fear death. I don't see a point to fear the one of the only things we all know for sure.

Sorry I didn't respond sooner (or on the original post, for that matter). But it was worth the delay. The movie prospers. We taped my first confessional- explicit content- and got kicked out of Ponderosa for causing a scene (which I find ironic, because that's why we were there), all yesterday. Talk about getting something done.

Any more questions or comments will be taken care of quicker than before. Thank you.

I'd opt for entire threads moved rather than leaving shreds waving in the wind like this one. How in the heck is anyone supposed to know what's going on?

Dibship - I suggest you read the Newbies Guide. Here's the text that applies to why I'm locking this thread. Don't open another one on this topic without PM'ing dpaterso and getting his permission.
MOD DECISIONS ARE NOT MEANT FOR PUBLIC ARGUMENT. If we make a decision to close a thread, or create a sub-board, or ban someone, or any number of other decisions, it's tremendously irritating to have people start threads debating the merits of our decisions, or restarting a topic we've just closed. If you have a problem with something we've done, PM a mod and we'll be glad to talk about it. Understand that much of the time, decisions are made not only based on things you see on the public boards, but on things you don't see-- PMs, rep comments, e-mails, IP addresses, etc. Sometimes, we don't reveal these things because we don't want to humiliate people; other times we just don't feel like getting into arguments about it; other times, it's a genuine privacy issue that we wouldn't reveal.
Underline emphasis mine.
