Hey everyone, I have a question. :)

I wish to link my cover to this forum. However, I won't do it if it's considered in bad taste to show off. Really, I just want to ask what ye all think.

I assume we are all fantasy fans here and this is ok. Yet, I dont want to get in trouble...or be considered one of those guys that markets here. I just want to post my cover becuase I am proud of it...and ask if it catches yer attention.

Is this considered OK?

You can reduce the size of the image and include it in your signature line, or reduce it drastically and use it as your avatar for awhile.

Regards,
Scott

Well that kinda worked. Is there a way I can load from a file in my desktop? Or can I load the actual image from BNB's website?

Eric,

I had to post my cover on my blog and then go back to that post under edit--html editor and cut and paste the image url into my A.W. signature line. it was there for awhile and then is not showing up now--but that's how it works. Maybe it will stay up for you---Rockin cover!!

Actually, Eric, the links to both your blog and to your publisher's website work quite well. And, more than just an image in here, those sites point to quite a nice bit of interesting information about you and your book.

Congratulations on the publishing deal. :)

Thanks Hames and Pthom.

Does anyone else have an opinion of the cover? Does it look professional? Does it look interesting...enough to catch your attention?

Any input would be appreciated.

Eric, nice cover and congratulations on the book :) I will provide some comments but would like to preface it with the disclaimer that this is just my opinion and that others might feel differently. I am a huge fan of art on covers. I like the the cover to tell a story - or at least hint at one. My favourite covers of all time are the Discworld covers done by Josh Kirby. I am not talking about US covers here but those in the UK editions. So while I think your cover looks great and that it hints at dark and mysterious medieval tales (that's what it looks like to me based on just the cover :p) when purchasing a book, this kind of cover would not clinch the deal for me. But as I said, this is just me and since the cover is just one of the things I look at (the back cover blurb is the clincher for me ...) I can't tell you if the cover alone would sell the book. But it certainly will grab my attention enough for me to read the back cover blurb :) Hope that is at least somewhat useful ...
