I am just starting my research and thought it best to of course read work from the genre I want to write (yup I know that is pretty much writing 101)

I am embrassed to admit that I have never, ever used a epub for reading and not sure where to go for a good selection.

Thanks

I'd have to say I think I am looking at eroitca first since the story I have in mind has the mc with different partners etc etc so not too much of a 'love story' so to speak.

Do you a fave website for either? both? so unsure at this time.

I've always bought from Ellora's Cave and have yet to be disappointed. I even had a problem downloading one of my books and they corrected the problem and got me the book within a few hours. And they have a great selection.

I also am starting out with my first book, I have visited the fishtank site, enjoyed viewing others work. I am ready to share a portion of one of my stories but I am unsure where to begin. I do not want to offend due to the graphic , adult nature of them. I am trying to navigate this site, enjoyable, but difficult...

For pure erotica, as opposed to erotic romance, check out the archives at both cleansheets (.com or .org?) and the erotica readers and writers group. (I can never remember the URLS, but you'll find them both if you google "erotica.") They're free, and a good starting point for checking out the genre, what's being written, how it's written, etc. The ERW site also has good resources for writers, on how to write and calls for submission, etc.

For erotic romance, the best-known epub is Ellora's Cave. But it is erotic romance, not erotica, at least at this point. I believe they're going to have a pure erotica imprint in the next few months. You might also check out Black Lace (a British company, paper, not epub), which I think is more erotica than erotic romance. Not sure if their website is up and running.
