Let's Talk Writing is a writing/critique group intended for both beginning and experienced children's writers, and we currently have 4 openings for new members. Our membership limit is 10 people.
The group consists of published and unpublished writers who write for children in a variety of genres: short stories, middle-grade or young adult fiction, poetry, and picture books.
We are a very active group: Each group member has a scheduled date to submit his or her work for critique, we post weekly prompts, and have group discussions on various writing topics. Occasionally we organize group activities to keep us writing inspired while we hone our craft.
We are not only writing companions, but good friends as well--there to support each other in both good and difficult times. We're serious and dedicated writers, but we also have fun conversations about the writing life and life in general.
If you are:
. Willing to spend at least 5 hours a week participating in the group.
· committed to providing honest & thoughtful critiques ·
· dedicated to learning, sharing & perfecting the craft ·
· willing to offer support & encouragement ·

*Please Note: When requesting to join, you will be sent a Pending Member Questionnaire to help us get to know you a little better. You will also be asked to provide a writing sample. Please complete this within 48 hours of your request. If we do not receive it, your request will be denied.
LTW has a "no lurking" policy. We understand shyness; however, 5 hours of group participation is mandatory, and lurkers will be removed.
