Hi,

I have an ediquette question, that I'm sure is simple to many of you. I have partials with a handful of agents. (They were requested) Haven't heard back yet. It's been between 1-2 months. I did receive some feedback from one agent after reading my partial. I totally agreed with what she said. I made some pretty hefty revisions, which led to a more endearing MC, a major change of direction for the first scene, etc. It's definately better.

Now, can I send the revised version to the agents who haven't gotten back to me yet? If so, do I tell them it's revised and to please read this version? Thank you so much for any advise! (I did do a search for this question, but many of the threads that came up were not the question I needed answered or were five thousand pages long.) :)

The conventional wisdom is to save your latest revision for your next agent.
I will admit that I have gone against this recently, but the results are not in as yet.
If it's only been a month, there's a good chance your ms hasn't been read, but then again, if you send in a revision, it could get thrown to the back of the pile.
When I tried it I emailed the agent and apologized up front. She was completely open to the new revision.
On the other hand, many times these quick revisions do not alter the story as much as we may think they do.
If you've already got agents making cogent suggestions, you're off to a very good start in the submission process.
