I'm not sure whether this is the right place to ask, but here goes:
At what point is it time to change into a different career for the day job? I'm seriously considering a switch because my current career (not just job) is so energy-draining that I'm not sure I can do this much longer (I have no aptitude or interest in it, but it was something that my parents pushed me into when I was a kid.)
I've made peace with the fact that I will probably always have a day job. But is it time to find a different one that's more do-able so I'll have more time and energy for writing, music, life? And if so, do you have any suggestions (to help me brainstorm)? I'm really good at math and even enjoy some types of work that others may find boring, so I do have some options.
Thank you!
