At the risk of sounding like a personals ad, I'm looking for a critique partner for hopefully a long working relationship.

I write mostly fantasy and science fiction, ranging from flash to what's unexpectedly turned into a novel. I think. And occasionally children's books seem to pop up.

And my friends have read my things, and say its all wonderful. But I really need to hear some solid feedback. And I'd like to work with people who know how tough it can be to wait to hear back - "ack. she's not writing because she's afraid to tell me its horrible." or some such.

I'd like to exchange work with someone and see if we can make each others writing stronger. I've never done this before, so I can't say I'll be good at it, but I'll be prompt, and try to be as critical as you'd like.

so - I guess that's it - please IM me if this sounds like a fit for you.

A critique partner will offer only one opinion and you risk bias. Why not join an on-line writing group that offers honest critiques rather than comments like "good work" and "that's nice". Make sure it's private which, as far as I can tell, offer serious critiques and your work isn't likely to be plagiarized.
