Well I had a story line in which a missionary in the jungles of Africa suddenly finds herself fleeing into the jungle after a rebel army invades their compound taking everyone hostage. She is the only one who manages to hide. The rebel army leaves taking everyone prisoner with them.
Finding herself alone back at the compound she is isolated. Her only chance of getting back to civilization is to wait for a supply plane thats sure to arrive the following month. The communications radio had been smashed by the rebels so she has no choice but to sit and wait.
She is terrifed that the rebels will return. The hero of the story arrives that night after the rebels leave. She ends up confronting him with a broom handle in which she hold to his back hoping that in the dark he will think she has a gun.
This is a summary of what I have written so far, is this too harsh for Harlequin? Do think its a decent idea?
