Advice on submission

I have a completed story ready for submission. I wanted to send it to a magazine that only has readings during certain months as my first choice.

Is it better to just send it off to the next mag on my list or should I wait until November and try and see?

What would you do?

November isn't that far away - I'd wait & send if it were me. I always like to send to my first choice first - then choices 2 - 10. I have waited for the "submission open" sign before - with good results.

I thought I should wait, but today I was sending off some other subs and the story was sitting in my list say "this story has never been submitted" and I started to doubt myself...
