Hello everybody
I had an idea for a givt to my friends in our friends day which is to write a poem about them and i have started to write it but i need a partner to help me so if any one is intrested answer me as quick as possible
here is some line from the poem
my friends are the air that make me breath
my friends are the beat that keep my heart a live

Keep writing. Come back with a full poem, and if you want, post it here so people can comment.

If it's a poem for your friends, it's best written by you. After all, you know them, and you know how you feel about them.

If you're having trouble getting started, just write. Anything.

If that doesn't work, find some other poetry and read it. That usually gets ideas flowing.

Welcome (I am new here also). I really like the sentiment you express in what you want to write for your friends.

My advice is to not seek a co-writer for the very reason poetinahat describes - that it would be better if it came from you.

Writing poetry is not hard. Poetry doesn't have to rhyme. Poetry doesn't even have to mean anything to anyone but you. In fact 2 people can read the same poem and see it in 2 completely different ways.

Write from your heart. It might be easier to write it in a letter to yourself about how you feel toward your friends and then choose certain lines to put together to form your poem.

OK, that said... I do not consider myself to be a poet. I just write what is on the inside. This advice is not intended to start some sort of poetic debate. My intention was to try to inspire you to simply write what you feel and then post it here for us. Some may criticize. That's OK because they mean no harm. Take their advice as a gift of the time they took to write it.

This isn't a writing service. It's a poetry forum. If you're just looking for people to do your work for you, this isn't the place.

hello again i wanna thank the both of you for your opinion about writting the poem and i agree with the both of you that i should write by myself but the problem isn`t in writting and how to write and i love to write poetry but the problem is that i`m a foreign person, english isn`t my mother tounge i`m only a student in my last year in college at english literature department
and by the way i have written other poem and also i love to write novels and story.
