You know what's nice about writing a creative thesis? Your "art" gets kicked around so long and so hard that you lose all fear of criticism. (Okay, most fear.)

So, with my newly accquired dragon-scale skin I'm ready to join an online critiquing group. I've googled it, but no link can be as informative as a suggestion from a real, live person. Any suggestions? I'm doing short stories right now.

Best one I've seen is here, in the SYW forum. Wear your asbestos undies and jump right in :D

Cool! I always cringe when I hear people ask this because it seems SO amateurish (and a little arrogant, too) but as a matter of theory, does anyone worry about their work getting, well, hacked stolen?

No.

The critique group here is password protected to keep out spammers and the like, and people here are professional about such things. Our monitors do a really bang-up job.

Also, the incidence of stolen work is very small - even in the big online world outside of this forum. I have only experienced it once (years ago when the internet was new), and it was of a widely published piece, not a WIP. The perpetrator was a dimwit and regretted it very much.

Jump in and enjoy!
