View Full Version : Who do I address my request to?

Hi,
I have a total newbie question. I have my first issue of Writers Market here and I want to send for some guidlines. I was just wondering who I address my request to though. The only contact it lists is the Editor and I feel kind of silly addressing a simple request for writers guidlines directly to the editor. Should I? Or do I put To Whom it May Concern?

Thanks,
Rhiana

I use: "Dear Sir/Ms" as my salutation when I don't know the name.

I use "Dear Sir or Madam," for all of my business letters to unkown parties.

Thanks!
I just wondered if there was a standard way to do it as I want to be professional at all times.

Thanks again!
