Okay, the manuscript went out to the editor last week. I've finished with my astonishing overflow of writing assignments. Nothing to do but relax. I should feel relieved, but instead I feel empty. Is this normal?
I experience quite often, and not only that have to explain to "interviewees" how long the process can take--waiting, waiting and waiting. Did I mention waiting? I think we writers are a patient lot.
Not too much waiting, thank goodness. I got my notes from my editor on Friday, and was able to make most of the changes over the weekend. Fortunately, the manuscript did not need major surgery. I'm polishing up a few things now. Hopefully, my sketch artist's pictures are acurate, and in the correct order!
