A Soup-Song of Chicken.
Oh, chicken soup is wonderful.
And very good for you -
but it isn't quite as healthy
from the chicken's point of view.
So let us all be thankful,
as we savour every drop.
Be grateful for the food chain -
and the fact that we're on top.

What’s that, white chicken?
Is it me you’d peck?
Silly birdie, I’ve got your neck.
Hand full of chicken, quite enough said.
I’ve got teeth,
I’ve got your head.
Headless chicken.
Cannot squalk
Run around bleeding, soon you won’t walk.
Pluck the whole carcass and give it to Megan
She’ll eat it all,
Cause today I’ll eat vegan.

No chicken poetry, I think I tapped out on the last bit, I just feel compelled to share that we recently obtained 25 chickens--in pursuit of fresh eggs, or so Mrs. Gryphon tells me. It has already cost me the building of a coop and several weeks of living with the little peeps in the house.
