Congrats to you!

But, now (I hate to be the bearer of wonderful news) give yourself some time away from your manuscript and then comes the E D I T I N G ! ! ! :D

Congratulations, Jo. Right on!

Don't feel too bad about the book taking you seven years to complete. If I remember correctly, my first work took me 17 years to finish....and it's still not really ready for publication yet.

I look forward to your getting your work published. Good luck to you.

Wait til you *are* finished.

It's such a high.

And then the revision.

Who was it who said, "If writing is hell, then rewriting is sheer hell"?

Although many other writers find the revision to be the most joyous part of the process.

Star to the right and straight on till morning.
I know EXACTLY how you feel. I have been trying to make my novel a murder mystery for 9 years now and to be honest, I think it is going to end up that it is only the threat of it.

Congratulations on getting so far!

Yay!!! Congratulations! I still have two novels in my drawer that lack endings. When I reached a conclusion on my third try, I wanted to dance on my ceiling.

I agree with others here. Take a little break from it, now that you're done. When you go back for the editing, you'll be glad for the "vacation".

:hooray: Great job, Jo! It's a great high for some of us to finally see the end of our first novel.

And depending on how you see editing, either the real fun or the real torture is about to begin. :D
