Hi Everyone,
My Name is Si and I am an alchoho.. oh no wait, wrong board. :)

I am just starting out in the writing arena. Basically I am a technical director for a CG company. I noticed there isn't a single book on my specialist subject, so I decided I would be the one to write one.

After being knocked back by a couple of publishers I came across this place, and thought it would be a good idea to ask how to proceed.
Basically I just scared myself to death over the last 3 hours reading all the horror stories and warnings about self-publishing and POD :/

Anyway I shall direct my questions in the right forums and hope I get some valuable advice

Oh, and don't let the POD stories scare you. While most (including me) would never recommend a POD for fiction, there are a few good outfits out there for specialty publications. Many times, POD may be the only real option for a tech writer.
