...Ok I think I might be insane, because my first thought was "Damn! They want a college diploma." (I don't matric until may '08).
It's too bad they can't simulate gravity (or lack thereof), because that's a biggie when it comes to both physical and psychological impact (weee, osteoperosis!). I also wonder about their 'no refills' policy. Surely they must have some kind of abort system in place if the crew's about to starve or something else goes horribly wrong. I mean they're not just going to let them die when they're in the middle of moscow and it's completely preventable.
I heard the EU's fixin' to start a Mars program, too. Maybe this'll whip America back in line re: giving money to NASA. Nothing motivates American space programs faster than the chance that the Russians might beat us to it.
