Leippya le Papillon

Hi,
I discovered this board some weeks ago and finally decided to nest here -- if it doesn't bother anybody, of course. :)

Until some months ago, I only wrote from time to time - waiting for the muse or waiting for the good moment... Recently I've decided to take things in hand (it seems that Dorothea Brande's Becoming a writer was the start, even if I don't remember how I got my hands on this book), and while writing I searched for resources on the Web. That's how I fell here :)

However I am so unsure of my English skills... It is not my mother tongue but as I will go study in an English-speaking country for at least two years (and I'm kind of hoping of staying there afterwards) I would like to be able to write directly and above all CORRECTLY in English... I don't mind (too much) writing e-mails or leaving some messages on boards but I can't write stories in English because I'm not able to see if I'm making awful mistakes or not, and I respect too much the beauty of languages to allow myself to do such things. So you'll never have to go through the reading of my texts ;)
I write fantasy and am fascinated by angels... In the way I perceive them at all events.

I should stop here before feeling too much egocentric !
I already enjoy myself here, thanks a lot to all of you who share their writing life, tips and more, I feel very grateful *respectful bow*

Hiya Leippya, glad to have you aboard. This is a great place to sharpen your English skills (which already seem quite advanced). We won't hold you to that promise of not posting your work. You just may change your mind down the road as you get more comfy. :)

Welcome, Leippya.

We're all angels here...

And we all look like this:

Thanks a lot for the kind welcome :D

I'll try to find someone familiar with words and willing to patiently read and explain to me the English rules I'm breaking, when I'll be in Ireland. Until then I don't think I'll feel enough confident for posting anything, but thank you for the encouragement, aka eraser, I'll try my best. ;)
