I gather you are writing fiction? Try the Writing Novels forum. You could search through Uncle Jim's thread, but it's over 2500 posts long, so it will take a while. You should also dig through the other threads in there, there are quite a few, such as this one on City Scenes

Finally, you could start a thread of your own. Good luck and have fun!

Welcome, btw! I'm a newbie myself, and I have fallen in love with this place. It has the most amazing mix of professionals, and up-and-comings I've ever seen. And good info. With real crits and suggestions that you can actually use.
