Has anyone read these Richard Curtis books on publishing?

Has anyone read these? Are they good, useful, whatever? Is the information still up-to-date?

According to one of the reviews on Amazon, Mastering the Business of Writing is a revision of Curti's Beyond the Besteller. I read Beyond the Bestseller years ago and probably still have my copy. I remember really liking it, although I no longer remember why. Still, I probably don't have to read it again, even in a revised version.
