Hello! I've been lurking for a while, and thought I would make my presence known. I caught the writing bug when I was in junior high, and I've been writing ever since, journals and poetry mostly, although I have started a couple of short stories, and I have ideas floating around in my head for some magazine articles I'd like to write. I work full time in the media, and now spend most of my time writing press releases, reports, and articles for our company newsletter. I haven't been as diligent in my other writing as I should be, and I'm hoping this group will give me that extra push I need to focus on being creative.

I think you will get very inspired by the people you'll meet here. People can answer your questions or just provide support. It's like belonging to a writer's group without having to leave the house!

Thanks for all the welcomes! There's so much to read and do here, I love this board! I've posted the beginnings of a YA short story that I started months ago in the "Share Your Work" forum. I'd appreciate feedback.
