Artana

I am in the process of reading through Learn Writing with Uncle Jim, and I find myself interested in this community.
I am currently writing a novel (I know, aren't we all?), which I find to be a bit daunting.

An odd note about me: I find that I can barely make the word counts rather than being to wordy.

I have yet to find advice for people who are too brief in their descriptions and in their plots;though, I would gladly read some. This is the first time I have managed so many pages. I am still somewhere around novella length instead of novel, which has been frustrating me, but I have not yet finished.

Anyways, thank you for the time and reading my intro.

Hi Artana

A big welcome to you.

I've not been here long either, and I have found the UJ thread very helpful.

You may find it useful to post the first chapter of your novel in SYW (Share Your Work) section and ask for people to give their opinions.

Have fun.

Cheers

Ned

Welcome, Artana.

Keep on writing the story as you have been and don't worry about the word count too much until you have finished. Mind you, the Share Your Work forum is a good place to get feedback on a chapter or scene, perhaps you'll gain a few insights by posting a snippet of your work there while you are working on the book.

Glad to have you here, and have fun!
