I am unsure if I am placing this in the correct forum but what the hell. I have been asked by a potential publisher to provide a prospectus and I wondered if anyone could provide some good advice or examples?

Do you mean "proposal?" Is your book nonfiction?

My book is non-fiction however the guidelines I was given for manuscript submission specifically state prospectus which is what is confusing me.
I've only heard that term used re financial documents. If they're using it, either they're clueless or questionable.
