What are some common or typical questions one could expect when pitching their script? Just wondering for future reference.

I know they also have vids on how to pitch a script which I plan on purchasing next year before the expo to sharpen things up. But just wondering kind of what the experience will be like. Is it almost like a job interview?

Thanks

Can you make the lead character a homosexual fashion designer rather than a tough Chicago cop?

What other movies is it like?

Can you trim it from 140 pages to 80?

We have a three picture deal worked out with Carrot Top, is there a way to write him in anywhere? Maybe as the gay fashion designer's love interest?

I kid you not. People ask some stupid questions. Why? They think it makes them sound intelligent or they have their own underdevelopped idea of a movie and if yours isn't like theirs, well they'll make it like theirs. Or they look at everything like an equation, such as Colin Farrell + Will Smith + Monster = Blockbuster.

Really it's my experience that the less questions they ask the better. Make your answers funny, exciting and LONG WINDED. Control the conversation and they'll go along willingly. As long as they're excited they'll want to progress, and luckily they don't even need to be excited about the movie, talk about something THEY'RE into, get them kinda hyper and then transition into your work allowing them to transfer their excitement over to YOUR project.
Basically.....use the force Luke. And fight the urge to slap them when they say something stupid.
