Rock Star!!!!!

I'm only bringing this up in the horror thread because I always have-and do-associate horror with metal. I love them both equally. Did anyone catch it?
There was one girl from South Africa, I think, that sang a Nirvana tune. She rocked the place, but she also freaked me out. She was sooo intense-I want to see her in a horror movie!!!!

She scared the heck out of me. Her stare reminded me of a horror movie about an evil possessed witch or something.

Then she went berserk and started dancing around like a fool. Ruined the whole effect for me.

I'm not entirely sure what this thread is supposed to be about, but I have two words for you: Rob Zombie.

If you don't know what I'm talking about, he has a horror-themed metal band who I used to be really into, and he has directed two horror films (to my knowledge): House of 1,000 Corpses and it's sequel, The Devils Rejects. I have only seen the first film, and it was fun in a daft way.

I love his music projects, although I preferred his previous band, White Zombie (named after a classic black and white horror film).

Jolly good. A bit of a tenuous connection between intense rock singers and horror, but I'm sure you can come up with something interesting.

I think her name was Danila or Darila or something similar. I thought she gave the best performance of the show. If she had remained paralyzed from the neck down for the entire song, I don't think Supernova would've liked it very much. I wouldn't really call that dancing. LOL. It was more like moshing.

The girl that sang Melissa Etheridge has the best voice I think. Where the hell was she in the last 5 seasons of American Idol?! She seems a better fit for that, than Rock Star.

I thought for sure that dude who butchered "Roxanne" was going to get the axe yesterday, but they dumped a guy who actually has a decent voice instead. WTF?

Her name is Dilana, and she lives in my hood, Houston, although she hails originally from somewhere else. I haven't seen the show, but heard she was good.

They axed the guy who was singing the wimpy music. I forget his first song, but then the second was Duran Duran. C'mon. You're going to be playing with Tommy Lee and Jason Newsted, guys who played METAL MUSIC. You think they want a singer who sings sappy pop music?

Dilana did rock that place and is my favourite. I saw song selection tonight and she's doing Johnny Cash. (Kill me now-LOL). I hope she didn't murder herself.

The Roxanne dude should have been axed in my opinion. That poor booger that chose Duran, Duran. Don't know what he was thinking. Nice guy though.

My connection to writing and music-is the passion and intensity of both.

BTW-I hope a fellow Canuck wins AGAIN!!!!

Dilana is THE person who should front these guys. Unlike INXS, I think the guys will go for a female.
One of my fellow canucks got booted tonight-and I think she should have gone NEXT week. What is up with Sayeda still sticking around?
Those guys just have way too much testosterone and it seems to cloud their judgement. lol

haha-I am sooooo proud! Kudos to you! I thought Patrice should split too. I think you are right about Dilana and Ryan but Toby is impressing me lately. I also love Storm-but not for this band. My fellow canuck irritates the crap out of me.(Lukas) He should go next week IMO.
Dave Navarro is on MuchMusic tomorrow. Looking forward to that.

I forgot to say how ticked I am at Dilana. Her attitude and back stabbing just came to the forefront. I was shocked! I'm sure she has lost some fans, but I think her fan base is pretty strong as to keep her up there in the top 2 or 3.
