So sorry to hear about the message board tech woes, Jenna. :-(

In one of your posts elsewhere, you thanked the members of this community for our patience. I thought this remarkably generous, since this wonderful community wouldn't exist were it not for you.

Every online community goes through glitches (I had my share with Inkspot, believe me) but if the community has a good foundation -- and this one definitely does! -- then it'll come back all the more stronger for it.

So thank YOU for putting up with the time-consuming hassles you've experienced recently, for not giving up on the community. I know there are some monetary contributions involved, but I suspect they're not nearly enough to compensate you for the time and effort you've put in here.

Ahh, Debbie. You and your avatar always make me smile. :) Thank you so much.

And thank you, Christine. Some days it just feels like the world is playing a bad joke on you, you know? I think we'll be able to get most of the important stuff back from the cached files, though.

oh good, I'm not crazy... I thought I'd just misplaced it.

Debbie, is there a way to tell how many rep points you've got? There was a slight mishap with some Carnation Instant Stupid and my water supply recently, so I have a tendency to completely miss the obvious.

Jenna, thanks for working so hard to get everything back, and for being patient with all of us pointing out what's missing.

The donations don't go to Jenna, though; they go to the care and feeding of Absolute Write, and potential legal costs. The site is not cheap, and the Water Cooler is the most resouce-hungry part of the site. And then Jenna and the mods donate their time, and patience, and knowledge.

Click on the silver mushroomy thing (it's a scale) at the lower left of one of your posts. A page will appear and tell you. To see who gave points and to read the comments, click on User CP, near the top of a page.

Each new member starts with ten points.
