I'm the biggest blonde in the world, and only recently learned that the paragraphs in a MS need to be indented. Yes, most silly of me. I've read through Shunn's formatting help page and some discussions, but I don't get this indenting business in a text that contains a lot of dialogue. Say you have a text like this:
The day was rainy and pretty bloody awful. I sat at my window and stared out to the dusky road. The house was quiet, but it didn't bother me.
"Hey Jane," Bill said. "What are you doing?"
"Oh, just sitting and staring out of the window."
"Great, let me help you." Bill sat down beside me, and cupped his chin in his hands.
I was faced with this dilemma when I started indenting my MS. It looked awful and strange with all these one liners indented! Is indenting really needed for each one-liner, too?
