I'm pretty sure this is right, but I wanted to check. I have my MC "give in to" something (his fears or something, I don't have the novel up right now).

Should "in to" be separated, or one word in this instance?

"He gave in to his fears."

"He gave into his fears."

The first one, ne? Just checking.
