Bibliography/Works Cited?

Documentation of information from other sources is a huge subject, and extremely important, because otherwise there are issues of plagarism. It will also help your readers, because they will then be able to read the quote or information you cited in its original context. There are a few different styles of documention and attribution, but in general they fall into two broad and equally necessary categories: footnotes and bibliographies. Footnotes cite the specific source for a particular quote or piece of information; bibliographies give all of the sources of information for the whole book. Most often these two are linked. I would suggest finding a copy of the most recent edition of the Chicago Manual of Style. It should help with the basics, even if your publisher uses another style manual.

Sorry, I was editing my post when you posted I hope the further information in the edited post helps even more. Everything you quote and all information you use should be documented. The quotes need to be specifically footnoted. The subject of how much you can quote from a specific source is another huge subject, and a little complicated. I'll leave it to others to explain the nuances.
