...translated screenplays? I know that that may not exist, but I would absolutly love to read the screenplays for some of my favorite movies, but they are from a foriegn country.

I can see why translations of these may not exist, because there would be little point if the film was to be made in the original language anyway.

In particular, I would love to read some of Chan-Wook Park's work, translated of course, and maybe even a scrip of Man Bites Dog (if one ever exists, because frankly they could have impoved that whole movie). Also, and probably alot more probable, I would love to read some of Akira Kurosawa's screenplays.

Alot of classical literature has been translated to English, so I'm hoping that perhaps some foreign screenplays have been converted to English as well.

I don't know of any websites.

There are some books with translations of Kurosawa scripts.

Rashomon, Kurosawa, transl. Donald Richie

Seven Samurai and Other Screenplays (Ikiru, Throne of Blood) Kurosawa, transl. Donald Richie

Ran Kurosawa, transl. Donald Richie

There are also translations of Ozu's Tokyo Story available. Kurosawa and Ozu are the big dogs on the block, at least in terms of recognition by Western film scholars. I'm wondering if there are any Chinese counterparts to Japanese filmmakers like Ozu and Kurosawa with big international reputations?

edit.
