Well, Dave Barry has compiled a list of what he considers Good Names For Rock Bands. My handy Dave Barry desk calendar lists two for today: Short Shrift and Gastric Contents.

If he can do it, why can't we?
So, here's the newest challenge Humor Hounds. Step right up and invent your own rock band. No instruments necessary.

Here's mine for a heavy metal band:

Pit Bulls on Crack

Old and Scarred

The Sick-N-Tired

Kiss My Ass, Mr. IRS (title cut from the same name)

Passe' Nukes

Sexy Giblets

SUX Being U (for all anarchist)

SUX BEING ME (for chronically depressed fans)

Blow Me (for Maestro)

(okay, so I'm no threat to Dave B. What else is new?)

It just occured to me that someone might misinterpret the band name attributed to Maestro. I'm one of Ray's biggest fans, make no mistake. I was merely referring to his Pan-like personality.
(That's Pan the Greek, not Pan the...well, you know what I mean)

Michelson

Sid Shapiro and the Four Skins

There was a rock band which played mainly Sydney pubs for a while, named 'Free Beer'.

The pubs would erect signs outside saying 'Friday - Free Beer'.

They were always packed, but many patrons were disappointed.

LOL -- Free Beer

wonder if they and Bare Naked Ladies had the same motivation?

Mac, I'm pretty sure Neil didn't write the Lollipop Guild song or Barney's theme song, either. So, this is an equal-opportunity carnage thread.
