Questions about Share Your Work

I have some pages from my new novel in progress I'd like to post in the Share Your Work section. How much is an acceptable amount of words?

Also, I'm not sure if it's YA or not, mainstream or literary or humor. That's why I'm looking for feedback, to see how it strikes people.

Should I post it in Other?

I think anything up to 2000 words is acceptable. Anything longer, you may not get any response. And if you must, you can split them up into multiple threads, or post them in chunks, in sequence, so that people don't have to read/comment on the whole thing all at once.
