I have been accused, as a writer, of falling in love with the sound of my own voice.
On the other hand, some of my favorite novels are the ones where I'm captivated by the sound of the author's voice, which often transcends plot, characters, story, etc.
If I fall in love with a voice on page one, I'll usually follow it anywhere.
Or maybe I'm just reading too many of the same types of books.
