My name is Cynthia Hanson. I am an avid fan and writer of fantasy, and also a newly published author of a couple novels and picture books. And will soon become an avidly talented writer of screenplays and maker of my own movies.

All of these things are due to my unshakable love and devotion for the character of Mr. H.M. Wogglebug T.E. because in spite of the fact I did not create him originally (he happens to be a mostly minor character from the original Oz books series, which are in the public domain) he has still had such a tremendous impact on my life in every way and in such positive ways that I absolutely feel it is my destiny to do the same for him through my abilities to create through words and images.

I have a fairly new website built around promoting all things to do with my WogglebugLover Productions items and also dedicated to helping TRUE fans of the Wogglebug to connect. I'll soon tell more about these things. Just remember that regardless of whether you already are, or want to become a member of this fan club for any reason there are at least two important rules about such without exceptions.

1. You must be a real fan of the Wogglebug for the way he really truly is (I'll explain more about how he had been mistreated severely in many ways during the previous century by writers and fans and even other characters of Oz).

2. You must be an atheist, or at best an agnostic. This is because the Wogglebug is a good example of how reason and logic prevail over myth and superstition always. And, yes, I'm an atheist. Have been all my life basically, and am enormously proud of it.

I do! Whatever you've got on tap is just fine.

Maryn, confused about how religious beliefs rightly figure in, but sure alcohol will clear that right up

Welcome to AW. As writers, we all have our passions and want to share them with others, and this is a great place to do so.

That said, I'm not sure I see the value in coming into a community built around the principles of sharing, openness, and inclusivity, to try to build enthusiasm and interest for an obscure fandom by telling everyone how unwelcome most of us would be if we can't pass your exclusive good-enough-for-you test. It runs a bit counter to the spirit of this place, and does your subject of interest a disservice, IMHO.

And that said, we are always happy to welcome new writers to the fold, and hopefully you will find meaningful ways to interact, contribute, and benefit here.

Ummmm.... whaaaat? What are you talking about? o_O I'm still trying to figure out if this is serious or not. But, well.. welcome and all that.

I have a fan club, too, but I think my mom is the only member. :( :/

I'm not picky, though. Anyone can join my fan club. xD They just don't want to. ;.;

Well, I'm an agnostic pagan, but not a Wogglebug lover, which sounds rather naughty to me. So I won't be joining your fanclub.
Welcome to AW.

I see you still have only one post. That makes this thread look like spam to me. If you are still around, why not join in?

Hello, WogglebugLover!

*voice of reason on your shoulder whispering* Sometimes it's best to dip one's toe in. Head first can lead to rocky waters. Enthusiasm is wonderful with a sprinkle - dousing - of modesty. *voice of reason steps back*

I have every right to forbid a Christian from entering my fan clubs. Because the last times I ever allowed a Christian into my fan clubs they turned out to be (to put it only simply and rightly) a living breathing human spam-bot hell-bent on destroying the fan club and my dreams and also totally ripping away my dreams from me through deliberate stealing and blackmail and manipulation. I know from them now as a FACT what I only had suspected before then. Which is simply the fact that Christians are SO obsessed with sin and calling themselves sinners they BECOME such even though their religion is actually condemning of such. While atheists like me just do not believe in sin and so we have no need to call ourselves such or to be such either. So, I will NOT be compassionate or tolerent of Christians, just as I will not be of anything that is untrustworthy. Besides, most people understand a club isn't a club unless some people just aren't allowed in it. And I used to believe that just being a fan of my Wogglebug club would be enough to allow Christians to be in it. But I was proven wrong when the last two Christians I let in turned to be flat-out and downright lying about being fans of the Wogglebug. They said the cruelest things imaginable about him that could only be expected to come from those who hate him simply because THEY DO NOT THINK CRITICALLY OR COMPASSIONATELY! So I have my right to forbid a Christian to be in my clubs just as everyone has the right to forbid a spam-bot from getting into their systems, whether the spam-bot is human or otherwise.

I'm trying to think of where to post next. I just have a lot on my mind. And I want to share more about what my fan club and career is all about though.

Lol. This has got to be a troll. How dare they pretend to be true fans of the Wogglebug when they are not?!?!?!? That's blasphemy!!!

I'm going to ignore the hateful, hypocritical part of your post (especially cause I'm quite convinced you are a troll now and just trying to get a rise out of people) and zero in on a smaller part for my own amusement.

Besides, most people understand a club isn't a club unless some people just aren't allowed in it.
Ooooohhh so that's the trick. Good tips! I hereby ban everyone who is not a true fan of me from being in my fanclub! Oh wait...

Wogglebuglover, that was so over the line it was unbelievable. This forum has one rule, and one rule only. And that is 'Respect Your Fellow Writer'. And if you want to remain a member of these forums, you better well damn remember that. You will respect them, no matter what religion they happen to be, or you will be gone.
