I'm toying with the idea of doing a story set on the Titanic of a female thief slipping around, robbing some of the 1st class passengers. I've been dying to do another story set on the Titanic for a long time, (the one I wrote when I was 14 is sketchy, to say the least . . . ) and it could be interesting to try this idea.

I have the Titanic stuff covered, but what kind of thieving tools would she use? Obviously she'd need lock-picks, and I've found pages on lock-picking, but I'm not completely sure what type of locks doors from 1912 would have. I think they may have lever locks, but I'm not positive.

What kind of weapons would she have? A dagger, perhaps, or a blackjack? She probably wouldn't be planning on using a dagger on the ship, but a blackjack in case she comes across a steward at the wrong time couldn't hurt.

She primarily would've been working in Europe, probably in England, for several years, mainly working hotels, while dressing as a maid, although she might've tried robbing a manson if she knew it well, if that information's any use. :)

Any help will be appreciated.

Many thieves wouldn't carry weapons at all. Carrying a weapon increases the charges they face if they are caught.
