My blog is on Blogger and my feed is on Feedburner. Feedburner is supposed to send out an email update to my subscribers when I update. I noticed it didn't do that with my last post. I changed some of the settings on my feed, like changing the time when the emails are sent, hoping it would solve the problem. But I updated yesterday and still--no email.

I Googled this problem and see that it seems common. I'm not sure how to solve it. Has this happened to any of you? Do you use Feedburner or another service for your feeds?

Feedburner become unsupported late last year, meaning it would--in my opinion--eventually fail and become very buggy on the way. I never did find an equivalent service that was free. But I stopped using Feedburner because I saw the code as a potential security risk.

I suspect that there may be a throttle at Feedburner in terms of emails sent per hour.

Email is both server and support intensive so it's often arbitrarily throttled to give other kinds of data (like the Web) priority.

With Feedburner in a questionable state I would highly recommend you move your email delivery to another service. Stick with them for RSS, but little else.

I've been using MailChimp for years now and have had zero problems. It's also free for up to 2,000 subscribers. The link I included goes to their feature list. Give it a look over and you'll see just how powerful this free tool is.
