I cannot believe it... I actually typed "the end" today!!! I can't believe it. It seems so strange that tomorrow I don't have to get up and develop the story any further! It's done!! Wow!! Summer of Oz is done!
Anyway... I basically just wanted to say thanks to those of you who helped me through my insanity last night by responding to my "i hate my novel" post. After I procrastinated and hung out here for a bit, I took your advice (James) and forced myself to write. It wasn't easy... it was very forced and I was pulling my hair out. I did the same thing today... but now it's done!!! You were all right though, there wasn't much more to write...which was why I was having such a hard time. I only needed another few pages.
It's funny how you don't hate your book nearly as much when it's done. I hated it a lot more yesterday! Today, i'm kinda liking it. Don't wanna look at it for a while... but i'm liking it.
I will not be popping any champagne corks just yet though, as I still have A LOT of editing to do and I feel that I have too much narration in parts where there should be more dialogue. That will be a challenge, but I know it must be done. Fine tuning can wait a week or two though. My brain could use a vacation from this book.
Thanks again!!

Starting a project is easy. Finishing it is not. Well done. Well done indeed. I wish you the very best of luck on getting published and on any and all future projects you may have.
