Well...see the thing is I believe a water gun is just a water gun. Others think it leads to accepting violence. Still others use it as a recreational tool to unwind after a long hard day.
I read a ton of stuff online about waterguns to get a feel and the truth is there is no middle line. Everyone has an opinion on them. So I guess I'm on the side that advocates their use as long as it is all in good fun.
This does not mean that I am for real guns or violence. In fact I don't have one and probably will never have one in my home.
Maybe my thoughts on the subject are archaic...after all I grew up in the early eighties when it was okay to blast your mom in the butt with a cold burst of water from a gun shaped like an alien. But as our society has begun to be increasingly violent and torn from the haves and have nots, the angry and the lost, and the ones who weren't taught that guns and war kill, people have decided they need to put their foot down.
Unfortunately they are putting their foot down in all the wrong places. Being a child shouldn't be as complicated as we make it for them. When I was a little girl I was more concerned about getting nuked by communists than getting shot by a stray bullet in my backyard. Now we have to worry because society has literally gone
mad.
Or maybe it's just me...maybe I'm the only insane one and everyone else is normal in worrying about being on the wrong side of a gun...despite the fact it only holds cold water.

ps...sorry if I seemed to go off on a tangent...I just wanted to show the real reason behind my original question...and why I seem so torn.
The only one I can seemingly pitch to would be a water gun-friendly magazine and I don't think there are too many of these...thanks for all who have posted.
