Different Multiple Submissions?

I know about multiple/simultaneous submissions...but is it wrong if I send one house manuscript A and another manuscript B? Would that be a tacky thing?

What you're describing is neither a simultaneous nor multiple submission, so it's fine. You can send S***n & S******r "The Greatest Picture Book Ever Written Since the Beginning of Time" and H*****C*****s "The Greatest Middle-Reader Novel Ever Written Since the Beginning of Time" and if both balk, swap 'em. :)

It sounds like manuscript A and manuscript B are two different ms. The only thing you may have done is sent them simultaneously (at the same time) and there is nothing wrong with that. I have sent out five magazine queries out at the same time - five different ideas to five different magazines. Good luck!

I have two children's mss I am shopping around right now. Story A has been sent to Publishers #1 - 6, while story B is at Publishers #7 - 12. When I get one rejection on A and one on B, I then flip them and send them to the opposite publisher. That way, each publisher has got one story by me at all times, but no more than one.

I'm hoping this works for the next few months. Once everyone rejects me, I'll figure out what I did wrong and start all over again (ok, in all fairness I've only gotten one rejection on each story so far)
