I started my new website about a week ago and since i'm pretty new to blogging and other related stuff it will be great if could receive some reviews and opinions.

I like it. I think it could maybe use a bit more color. Just a pop here or there. I gather it's a site that focuses on war, so I'm not expecting pink glitter hearts, but I do think just a smidge of a brighter color would make it more aesthetically appealing.

Your layout, though, is aces. And, I really like the icons on the side.
