Choosing a blog theme

That's exactly what my blog is about. I have a modest following, so yes, I think people will read about your journey

I think there's a ton of 'writer's journey' blogs out there already. The market is flooded.

My perspective is that it's best to pick something your audience will find interesting, if you write vampires, maybe you can do one post a week about goth fashion, art, culture etc. for instance. I used to do that and I developed a pretty healthy flow of traffic.

Just recently I've switched to serial fiction, 'cause frankly I was getting bored of trying to come up with new subjects all the time. So far it's going pretty well, today is my sixth straight day with over 100 visitors, and there's still five and a half hours until the end of the 'day' my blog counter uses when calculating daily visitors.

On its own, your journey as a writer is mainly interesting to those who are fans of your writing. As a lot of writers are hoping to get fans for their writing through their blog, that doesn't work so well.

Mixing in a few posts on your journey with other content is much more likely to create interest. Or rather, the other content will create interest, and then people might want to know about your writing.
