Truthfully, I don't quite know what you mean... sounds too complicated.
But here's one variation, just for fun's sake:
As Mary types, INTERCUT with her PC screen, showing her email...
MARY
"Dear sir, thank you for
your letter dated 11th
January..."
She frowns. Hits backspace, deleting the text.
MARY
No, that's not right...
More typing--
MARY
"Dear sir, it with despondency
and alarm that I received your
rude and abusive letter dated
11th January!"
...I'm using quotes just for the heck of it to differentiate between what's being written and what Mary's saying to herself. I don't know if that's standard, but it seems clear enough to me.
If that's not what you're looking for, if you just want a way to show images on a PC screen, you could use something like:
INSERT PC DISPLAY - Hubble image of the Sun.
MARY
I like the Sun, it's always
so bright and cheerful.
INSERT PC DISPLAY - the Moon.
MARY
I love the Moon, it's so
romantic.
INSERT PC DISPLAY - bright stars, the night sky.
MARY
But the stars are best of all,
because they remind me of your
twinkling eyes.
...If that's nothing like what you mean, do tell. Or maybe some combination of the above will do the biz.
